Paper
LexJet Sunset Photo eSatin Paper — 300g
LexJet's next-generation Sunset Photo eSatin 300g is a premium-quality, resin-coated inkjet photo paper that professional photographers rave about.
They like it because the prints they deliver to their customers feel noticeably thicker, heavier, and more durable than mass-market inkjet photo papers; the latest generation is even thicker than before at 11.5 mil. The slightly textured, satin (or luster) surface is like the E-surface papers that were popular in darkroom printing. The print surface doesn’t show fingerprints or reflect glare like glossy papers. This paper’s excellent ink retention properties produce an exceptionally large color gamut for bright, realistically saturated colors and accurate skin tones. Plus, the latest version has an even wider color gamut and an improved white point for greater contrast.
LexJet Sunset Velvet Rag - 315 gsm
- Sunset Velvet Rag 315g (20 mil) boasts a 100% cotton rag base, with a velvet (or etching like) surface. This paper is designed to meet the highest printing standards needed for museum quality, limited edition prints.
- Ideal for fine art and photographic reproduction, photo restorations, and museum-quality limited edition prints, this paper is designed to maximize the latest aqueous ink and printer technology.
- Sunset Bright Velvet Rag 315g produces the same rich black levels and saturated color as Sunset Velvet Rag, while offering a wider color gamut with an increased dynamic range on the new bright-white cotton base.
Canson Infinity Baryta Photo Satin - 310 gsm
Canson Infinity Baryta Photo is a true Baryta paper developed for inkjet technology. It consists of an alpha-cellulose, acid-free pure white paper with the same barium sulphate coating as for traditional silver halide and a premium inkjet colour receiver layer.
Baryta Photo offers the look and aesthetic of the original darkroom baryta print and complies with the ISO 9706 standard for maximum longevity. This museum grade photo paper shows excellent black density and great image sharpness, making it ideal for black and white photography.
Framed Prints
Glass
When you’re framing a piece of art or a photo and it comes time to choose which type of glass you’d like, how do you decide? Glazing, or frame glass, is an often-overlooked step in the framing process because most people focus on the mat and frame. Choosing the right glazing can make a dramatic impact on how your art is displayed and preserved.
Glass, as opposed to plastic or acrylic, has the benefit of being scratch-resistant although it’s heavier and more fragile. There are different finishes on framing glass that result in different clarity and visibility levels. The purpose of glazing is to protect the art from humidity, heat, and damage. Glazing materials also prevent abrasion from dust and protect art from both artificial and UV light.
The least visible glazing best displays the artwork, with the goal to achieve “invisibility” with the glass. Glazing with additional protective coatings help preserve the art but the result in a less clear view. At PosterHaus, UV glass is the standard for all framed under glass prints. It provides the best of both worlds; improved invisibility and maximum protection for your piece.
Matte
All framed-under-glass prints have a standard matte border of 3” (7.5 cm) on all sides and are custom cut using the highest quality card stock that won’t discolour over time. And with the mat only overlapping the print by 1/8” (.125 cm) you won’t have to worry about losing the focal point of the print. 4” (10 cm) and 5” (12.5 cm) mattes are also available.
